This Sunday – May 16th – is Ascension Sunday in the life of the church: a celebration of the ascension of Jesus – a very poorly understood event in the narrative of Christianity. We begin an examination of the events that came after the life of Jesus, as described in the Acts of the Apostles, by looking at the ascension.
Join us as we gather at our new location, 4747 Hill Avenue in Toledo (on the south side of Hill Avenue, between Richards Road and Reynolds Road) on Sunday. Come early for fair-trade tea, coffee and cocoa and to meet both old and new friends. This week we are joined once again by guest artist Harold Lindsey. Music will be led by Matt Cook and Ronnie Lindsey. Continue the conversation after worship at Afterglow! as we gather to eat at a local restaurant. All are welcome.
