Reynolds Outreach Initiative October 2016 Update

The 2016-2017 school year is off to a great start at Reynolds Elementary. We hope you enjoy these pictures of our first few weeks.

Last week, the 3rd grade students in our After School Program went to theĀ University of Toledo Jesup Scott Honors College for some homework help and games. Thank you to all the UT students that helped! It was a great afternoon for everyone who participated. Mrs. Huss’ first grade students also had a guest speaker last week. Lieutenant Heffernan spent time teaching our students what to do in an emergency. We are so glad he could join us during the school day.

Earlier in September our students had many opportunities to participate in various field trips. We loved our trip to TPS Natural Science and Technology Center. We also spent time at UT and visited Genesis Village. We had a great time in a tortilla making class at Sofia Quintero and participated in the BGSU Stem in the Park event. We even got to make no-sew blankets with our friends from Epworth UMC. Also pictured are the school supplies that were generously donated from Owens Community College. We are very grateful to everyone who helped get our school year off to a positive and exciting start.
