Reynolds Summer Program: Serving Local Children

The University Church’s Reynolds Outreach Team is excited to announce the start of 2017 summer programming. Our award-winning team has an exciting and educational summer planned for the children in our community. From June 5 through July 27, 2017, 40 kindergarten through 4th grade Reynolds Elementary students will have the opportunity to grow and learn here at the Reynolds Outreach. Our program utilizes hands-on math and reading enrichment activities and weekly field trips to locations such as Fossil Park, the Imagination Station, the Toledo Zoo, the Maumee Indoor Theater, the Hands On Museum in Ann Arbor, Sauder’s Village, and our own TUC Community Garden. Participating children receive lunch each day and have access to fresh produce from TUC Community Garden. A new feature of our program this summer is that our Reynolds students will get to participate in a Metroparks of Toledo camp for an entire week in July. The camp includes activities such as fishing, canoeing, hiking, and archery.

The Reynolds Summer Program partners with the Community Health Project to provide a host site for interns from The University of Toledo School of Medicine and interns from the Jesup C. Scott Honors College at The University of Toledo. These interns are a vital part of our staff and we look forward to all of the wonderful relationships that will be built through this partnership.

Thank you for supporting the Reynolds Outreach Initiative through your prayers, gifts, and time. We could not provide an opportunity like this without the support of our community.
