The University Church’s Summertime Theology group will begin August 1, 2019 and meet every Thursday in August from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Our topic will be the Contemplative Christian Tradition and we will discuss the history of contemplative thought, major contributors, specific contemplative practices such as centering prayer, and how/why to incorporate these practices and ideas into our lives. For our third session (August 15, 2019), we will take a break from discussing theology, and instead we will live out our theology through action. We plan to meet to help with the Third Thursday food pantry, for those who are willing and able.
Summertime Theology group will meet at The University Church building, located at 4747 Hill Avenue, Toledo.
