Feast and Famine – Prepare Garden Beds For Fall

Hey Community Gardeners! We’re getting together to put our garden plots to bed for the winter. We hope you can join us for this all-hands-on-deck Community Garden work day. We’ll wrap-up our labors with a community meal of home-cooked chili and cornbread. We hope you can join us!

When: Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Where: TUC Garden – 4747 Hill Avenue, Toledo, Ohio

What: Our AmeriCorps VISTA member, Diana, has done a wonderful job coordinating a compost drop-off for Saturday, October 5, 2019. We’ll gather as a Community Garden family to work on winterizing our own garden plots and some of the communal growing areas. After clearing up the remains of the 2019 growing season, we’ll prepare for spring 2020 by adding a layer compost to the gardens. When we finish working in the gardens we’ll relax with a comfortable meal of chili and cornbread.
