Reynolds Hub Director – The University Church

The University Church works in partnership with Toledo Public Schools and United Way of Greater Toledo on the Schools as Community Hubs strategy.  The Hub Director is responsible for the implementation, integration, alignment, and coordination of thisstrategy at the site level: Reynolds Community Hub located in Reynolds Elementary School.

The Hub Director leads the coordination of the majority of activities, programs, and supplemental services implemented at the school, which may include before, during, after school, and weekend activities throughout the academic year and during the summer.  As such, this position often requires hours outside the traditional workday.

Candidates should possess a 4-year college degree in a related field (e.g., social work, education, community health, youth development, recreation, etc.) and at least 3-5 years of related experience in youth development, community development, or family service.

The Hub Director is an employee of The University Church. The University Church does not offer employees health and/or retirement benefits.  

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, reach, kneel, and squat.
  • Use one’s hands for both fine and gross motor skills.
  • See details of objects that are close-up as well as at a distance.
  • Understand the speech of another person and speak clearly so listeners can understand.
  • Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath.
  • Work in an environment that may be loud.
