Thank you! 2020 has been a year like no other. Although we, as a church and as a global community, have faced profound challenges, your resilience, flexibility, and creativity have carried The University Church family forward to meet these challenges with grace, love, and hope.
This forward-leaning attitude can be seen as you gather online for Sunday worship and utilize new technologies for meaningful, virtual discussions. We have seen you persevere in your financial giving, despite the difficult economic times. Our volunteers have adopted new safety practices so that we can continue to feed hungry people through monthly food pantries and gardening. We have watched our hard-working school outreach staff reimagine our programs to better meet the ever-changing needs of the children in our neighborhood.
Friends, you are truly a visionary people. Instead of being crushed against an obstacle, you use these challenges to bring about something new and beautiful.
